Group raising money to fix iconic downtown Indy clock
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A historic preservation group is working to raise money to fix a piece of Indianapolis history.
Indiana Landmarks wants to repair the 80-year-old bronze clock that hangs outside the former L.S. Ayres building.
Leaders estimate repairs will cost $10,000.
The group hopes to raise $20,000 so it can also start a maintenance fund for the clock.
They want the money by Nov. 7 so it can be fixed before the holiday season.
The cherub arrives Nov. 23.
