Jack’s Donuts fans share their sweet experiences and Lee’s own business experience!

How sweet it is! We check out this week’s Jack’s Donuts fans with CEO Lee Marcum:

It was “Crazy Hat Day” at school, and Halston took it to a whole other level! It’s safe to say that her hair was probably the tastiest hair in school.

Miss Burney’s class at Chapelwood Elementary won a donut party! Using her school discount, ? (which is available at all Jack’s Donuts locations for all educators and administrators) she was able to give the kids the donuts they wanted, Jack’s Donuts!

The picture says it all! Jody’s son started his 12th birthday off at one of his favorite places, Jack’s Donuts of Carmel! We can all hope that our birthdays are as sweet as the Carmel iced roll being enjoyed in this pic.

… And if that wasn’t enough for your Monday, here’s some “icing on the donut” for you! Lee offers his professional tips for succeeding at the workplace!

#1- FIRST IMPRESSIONS DON’T JUST HAPPEN ON THE FIRST DAY

It’s one of the oldest sayings in the book, “Don’t dress for the job you have, dress for the job you want.” It all starts on day 1, but continues forever. Dressing like a boss everyday will automatically make you stand out from the crowd.#2- KNOW YOUR ROLE

You have to learn to walk before you run, so the first thing you need to do when being hired is master what you’ve been hired for. Bosses despise “newbies” trying to run the show. We’ve all been required to do a task, and been told how to do it while thinking to ourselves, “there are a million different better ways to do this.” Don’t act on it. Perfect the way they’ve taught you first before even thinking about doing something new.

When you do get to the point of wanting to step out of the box and try something new, always get permission first.#3- PLAN PLAN PLAN

You’ve mastered the job, so what’s next? Promotions don’t just fall into your lap, you have to go out and get them! It is important to always be planning for the next step at work. Understand that doing this is going to require you get out of your comfort zone.
