Monroe County school bus driver arrested after child porn raid
MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A Monroe County school bus driver has been arrested after his home was raided as part of a child pornography investigation.
The Bloomington Herald-Times reports 43-year-old Timothy Poteat was taken into custody Tuesday.
The investigation began with a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Oct. 11. Police seized computers, phones, external hard drives and flash drives from Poteat’s home in the 800 block of E. Miller Drive.
A Monroe County Community School Corp. spokesman confirmed to the Herald-Times that Poteat worked as a bus driver. Poteat was taken into custody in the 500 block of North Drive, which is near the corporation’s bus lot.
He was booked into the Monroe County Jail and faces a preliminary charge of child exploitation.
