Intruders fire shots at homeowner’s house

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Ida Tucker heard some rumbling outside her kitchen window. It happened just passed midnight at a home near 30th Street and Emerson Avenue. Tucker peaked through the curtain and watched as two men slithered inside her garage through a window.

Tucker immediately yelled for her fiancé. He got up, and shouted, ” I’m getting my gun!”  Suddenly the men in the garage heard the warning, and started firing shots. The bullets ripped through siding, bullets pierced holes through the house, and one shot barely missed Tucker.

The suspects then left the garage and ran off into the night. Police arrived, and took a report, but investigators don’t have a clear description of the possible suspects.

Despite the terrifying moments Tucker remained thankful that she did not suffer a gunshot wound.

“Very grateful, I was right there when that gun shot went off, I’m grateful to be alive that bullet could have hit,” said Tucker.

During an interview with 24-Hour News Eight, Tucker added she has no clue on who may be responsible for the shooting. If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS, or 262-8477.
