INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new specialized pharmacy in Indianapolis is holding an open house.

The open house is Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The new pharmacy is designed to cut down on prescription drug abuse.

The controlled-substance pharmacy will be on DePauw Boulevard, near Michigan Road and I-465.

The Indiana prescription drug task force said the pharmacy will allow doctors to monitor prescriptions to make sure they are not misused.

The group said the pharmacy will also ensure patients will only be given drugs they truly need.
