Teens injured in Hendricks Co. vehicle accident

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Three teenagers were injured in an early Sunday morning single-vehicle accident in Hendricks County.

According to the Hendrick’s County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 in the area of County Road 500 North and County Road 600 East.

Deputies said the was vehicle traveling eastbound on County Road 500 North when, for unknown reasons, the 17-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver and an 18-year-old passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of crash. However, an 18-year-old backseat passenger was not.

Deputies did not provide the conditions of the teenagers involved in the crash.

Speed is thought to have played a role in the accident.
