Car crashes through Ohio building, causes gas leak

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Backing out of a garage caused quite a stir in Kettering, Ohio Wednesday.

Police and fire crews were called to the intersection of Mossoak and Lesher Drives just after noon Wednesday after a car hit a building.

Police said a woman was backing out of her garage in an adjacent building when her car made a circle and hit the side of another building, striking a line of gas meters.

Vectren quickly shut off the gas and no one was evacuated.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries while the car was being removed from the building. He was taken to Kettering Medical Center.

There is no word on the driver of the car or if she suffered any injuries. Kettering fire crews have left the scene but Vectren workers are still there repairing the damage.
