Multiple police agencies work together to crack down on criminals on east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says there was a join effort Tuesday night into Wednesday morning on the east side to crack down on criminals.

According to police, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Lawrence Police Department and the Indiana State Police were involved in a high visibility enforcement to address issues in a particular area of Indianapolis.

IMPD’s partners focused on traffic and criminal enforcement in East District, where a number of warrant arrests were made and traffic citations were issued. No search warrants were given.

The effort was a collaboration of police work.
