Police: Racing driver kills man, child walking on sidewalk in Texas

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) – According to the Round Rock, Texas Police Department, there has been two fatalities after a crash on A.W. Grimes at Gattis School Road caused by two vehicles racing each other.

RRPD said two Mustang vehicles, one blue and one red, were racing and the red Mustang clipped a silver, handicap mini-van causing it to be pushed onto the sidewalk killing two pedestrians- a father and his 12-year-old daughter.

The two passengers in the red Mustang have been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The three occupants of the mini-van were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said charges are being filed against the driver of the red Mustang, however, they are not specifying what kind of charges at this time.

RRPD are searching for the blue Ford Mustang. They ask the public to call the police if they have any information on the car’s whereabouts.

The northbound lanes of A.W. Grimes are completely shutdown due to the crash.
