FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) – A man who is suspected to be involved in a shooting of a woman in Frankfort was found Monday afternoon in Indianapolis.
25-year-old James McMillion faces preliminary charges of attempted murder, violent felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a narcotic, criminal recklessness, possession of a syringe, battery with a deadly weapon and intimidation.
Just after 12:30 Monday afternoon, police were called to Blinn Avenue after a woman had been reportedly shot. Chief Deputy Scott Shoemaker said she was taken to the hospital by family members with one gunshot wound.
Shoemaker said McMillion and the victim know each other.
McMillion was taken into custody without incident and is being transported back to Frankfort.
