Power restored to over 2,000 people in Carmel after Duke Energy outage

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — Power has been restored to the Carmel area after almost 2,200 were without power Monday morning.

The Duke Energy outage report says it was first reported just after 8 a.m.

A spokesman for Duke Energy says the outage was caused by a dump truck hitting a utility pole near 136th Street and Carey Road.

He said the outage left around 2,200 people without power.

Crews restored power after about two hours.
