INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Homicide detectives continue to investigate Tuesday after a man was found dead in a front yard on the city’s north side.

Police said the 37-year-old man was found outside of a home in the 8700 block of Cricket Tree Lane near 86th St. and Ditch Rd. just before 3:00 p.m.

He has since been identified as George Adrian.

“Crime scene has already been out here to process the scene for any evidence, forensic evidence and we’re waiting for the coroner to arrive to retrieve the body,” said Jim Gillespie, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office is still working to determine the manner and cause of death for the 37-year-old man.

Police said this all started as a disturbance call between two people.

“The complainant who actually called in was the other half of the disturbance,” Gillespie said.

When police arrived on scene they found the man dead in the front yard. Police said the person who called 911 was also detained for questioning. He has since been released as of Tuesday night.

“He was immediately detained on scene and there were other witnesses who were out here questioned by detectives,” Gillespie said.

Some people living on the street did not want to go on camera. They told 24-Hour News 8 they had no idea someone died in the subdivision.

At this time police don’t know if the death was accidental or intentional.

“Detectives are taking statements and they’re looking at the evidence on scene to determine which direction this case is going to go,” Gillespie said.

Police said they did not find any weapons at the scene.

“No weapons involved, but of course at any point in time if anybody has any information on this investigation or others we ask they call crime stoppers (317) 262-TIPS.

Police said the case will be reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if any charges will be filed.
