IMPD: Intoxicated uncle arrested for shooting death of 18-year-old

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) —  The victim of an Oct. 29th shooting has died from his injuries, according to Indianapolis Police Department Officials.

Police say 18-year-old Kodi Pruner was shot just after 2 a.m. in the 6600 block of Little Life Place. Police say Pruner was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Witness told police that Pruner’s uncle, 49-year-old William Zweck, was intoxicated and approached Pruner with a gun. Police say Pruner tried to push the gun away and it went off.

Pruner was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He later died of his injuries on Tuesday.

Zweck was preliminarily charged with criminal recklessness with a firearm causing bodily injury, pointing a loaded firearm at another person and possession of a firearm without a license.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s office was reviewing the case.
