Warren Co. inmate found unresponsive in cell

WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Indiana State Police have released the identity of the inmate who was found unresponsive in his jail cell late Monday night.

Sgt. Kim Riley said the inmate was Dennis Hoard, 46, from Attica. He was being held in the Warren County Jail on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Riley said Hoard was found Monday at 11:55 p.m. unresponsive in his cell at the Warren County Jail. Medics attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday to determine the cause of death.
