Woman shot, killed on city’s north side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A woman was shot and killed on the city’s north side Wednesday evening.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened in the 4300 block of Norwaldo Ave just after 7:30 p.m.

Officers initially responded to the area for a call of an unresponsive person at a residence. After arriving on scene, 30-year-old Jessica Whitehouse was found unresponsive.

Responding emergency medical personnel pronounced the woman dead on scene.

An investigation into the incident revealed that the victim died from at least one gunshot wound.

Police say the suspect was seen driving a 1994 greenish blue colored Ford Crown Victoria. Police have located the vehicle but are asking that anyone who may have seen the vehicle or the people in the vehicle on November 2 between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to call detectives.
