GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — Johnson Count authorities are investigating after the body of a 23-year-old man was discovered near a pond Friday.
A woman driving by Willow Lakes subdivision around 8:30 a.m. flagged down a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputy after spotting a man’s body lying face down near 2603 Willow Lake Drive.
Corey Hillis was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators and the Johnson County coroner are working to determine what caused the death. Foul play is not suspected.
Hillis was involved in a crash Thursday evening and had to be revived with Narcan, but the sheriff’s office said the accident is not believed to be linked to his death.
