INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Colts players got their artistic side out Monday morning.
They helped students decorate footballs for vets.
In honor of Veterans Day on Friday, the Colts are joining forces with Goodwill’s Indianapolis Metropolitan High School to bring smiles to 200 vets.
The group is preparing care packages that will include a football with encouraging messages for those who served our country.
Inside linebacker Luke Rhodes says it’s a privilege to serve those who protect our freedom.
“It’s really awesome becuase my dad is a vet,” Rhodes said of the event. “Both my grandfathers are vets, so it really means a lot.”
The care packages will be delivered to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center.
