INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Republican Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the race for president. ¬†Trump’s victory over Clinton was not projected until the early morning hours on Wednesday.

However, Trump’s victory seem to take the financial markets by surprise. As Trump took an early lead and then really never looked back, stock prices dropped sharply, but as the U.S. Stock Exchange opened prices rebounded.

Certified financial planner, Joe Clark, stopped by WISH-TV to discuss how the big market plunges and the bounces can affect you and your investments.
