Twitter users changing their profile picture to protest Trump

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Thousands of people shared their thoughts about Election Day on their social media accounts, and one hashtag on Twitter is gaining attention.

Thousands of people are changing their social profile picture to a black background in protest of Donald Trumps’s victory. The #TwitterBlackOut was trending on Wednesday as many tweeted their views on Trump. Other hashtags included, #NotMyPresident and #ImStillWIthHer.  The trend has also moved to other social accounts such as, Facebook and Tumbler.

Celebrities like Katy Perry made their profiles black to join the movement.
