(WISH) – Donald Trump won Indiana by a 19 point margin and that helped other GOP candidates get elected here.

The two men who directed the Trump campaign in Indiana are Rex Early and Tony Samuel. They visited as many as 60 counties in recent weeks.

“Folks that told us they had never voted before just finally registered because they felt Donald Trump was the right person to lead this country,” said Samuel who predicted a 20 point victory on Election Day.

“We shoulda seen that coming and I think we really did see it coming,” said Early. “And all of these so-called pollsters, who probably are looking for new jobs, they were dead wrong.”

Part of the lesson here is that Hillary Clinton is not popular in Indiana. She lost the May primary and her campaign made no effort to compete in Indiana in November.
