Dressing a plus-sized body

Embrace your curves and celebrate with help from JenDaisy Boutique! Jenn explains that so many curvy women feel self-conscious when trying on certain outfits, but no more! Here’s how to look good and feel good, both inside and out!Today’s models: (as described by Jen, herself!)

Meggan is a senior in high school and we wanted to do a fun versatile look on her. She is wearing a burgundy damask print dress with fleece leggings and boots. We added a long necklace to add some dimension to her outfit. The important thing to remember when wearing or picking dresses like this is to make sure it’s fitted in the bust area and then A-lines out. When curvy girls pick this type of dress they always tend to go bigger than what they need. You can also add a vest to this for a more layered look.

Tunisia is wearing a new boho chic new dress we got in at JenDaisy. This dress is flowy comfortable and stylish  This dress is a size large and fits her perfectly. We added a pop of color with a colored choker. Don’t be afraid to go to this bohemian look for fall. Just remember that it fits well and does not add weight to you that is not there. Also this can be worn as a dress and with heels.

Christy is a young mom of two boys. She is curvy on the top with long skinny legs. We are showing you that you can wear shorter dresses with boots and so off your best features. We paired this cute t-shirt dress with a plaid elbow patch cardigan. This cardigan can be worn with jeans or leggings for another look. Buy things you can mix and match in your closet and they fit well. Don’t think because you are curvy everything you wear has to be big and baggy.

Chrystal is wearing a sleeveless t-shirt dress with a bright and colorful kimono from our fair trade like by Tavi. I hear everyday girls coming in looking for all black dresses and tops. Wear color and have fun with your clothes and Shoes. Embrace your curves and stand out in the crowd. Kimonos are a great layering piece that can hide flaws you think you might have and just adds some flow and fun to any outfit.
