INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police were investigating after a fatal shooting on the north side of the city Friday morning.

Police were called to the 3600 block of Kenwood Avenue around 8:45 a.m. That’s in the Crown Hill neighborhood.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials say, an adult male was found at the scene suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives and local pastors were talking to community members to find out if anyone knew what caused the fatal shooting.

On Nov. 6, Crown Hill celebrated one year without a homicide in their neighborhood.
