Man seriously injured in suspected road rage shooting near downtown

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was seriously hurt in a shooting near downtown Indianapolis Monday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to Pine Street and Michigan Street, just east of I-65, around 10:15 a.m.

A man was rushed to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition.

IMPD said the shooting likely stemmed from road rage.

Police said Tuesday the suspect is a 30-year-old white man with short red brown hair and a full red beard and mustache. He was driving a newer model red Nissan Altima.
