According to Purdue police, 75-year-old Mary Jo Turley of West Lafayette was driving north on U.S. 231 when she attempted to turn left onto State Street and her car collided with a southbound vehicle being driven by Timothy Ryan, 55, of Lafayette.

Turley was taken to IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, where she later died.
