New program helps juvenile inmates train shelter dogs

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new program in central Indiana pairs dogs with juvenile offenders.

The canine training group Paws and Think is working with Indianapolis incarcerated youth to train shelter dogs.

The young people learn important life lessons while working with the animals, making the process a win for all involved.

Kelsey Burton from Paws and Think joined Dave Barras on 24-Hour News 8 at Noon Thursday to provide more details about the unique program.
