Casey’s General Store robbed overnight in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police responded to an early morning armed robbery on the city’s south side on Friday.

It happened around 4:40 a.m. at Casey’s General Store on Teal Road West, also known as State Road 25.

Police said a man went into the store, showed a handgun and got away with cash and cigarettes.

K-9 officers attempted a track, but were unable to locate the person of interest.

No injuries were reported.
