Enroll Indy launches mobile app for families to find right school for child

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Enroll Indy is launching a mobile app on Friday for local families to find the school that best fits their child.

Enroll Indy is a non-profit that was created in 2015 with the mission to make the school application process in Indianapolis easier for families and schools.

To access the Enroll Indy School Finder app, parents just need to download the app to their smartphone. The app will provide parents information about schools within the Indianapolis Public Schools boundary.

“Enroll Indy’s mission is simple, in that we want to empower families to choose a school that is the right fit for their child,” said Caitlin Hannon, founder executive director. “By providing families with a convenient way to learn about the process, from application deadlines to transportation options, families and schools are better prepared and better informed about the many great schools in our city.”

Enroll Indy also has an in-person resource center at IPS headquarters located at 120 East Walnut Street, as well as a hotline to provide families more information about the school application process.

“For a parent, it can be a full-time job trying to understand the application process and deadlines for our city’s schools,” said Tina Booze, IPS parent. “I’m grateful that Enroll Indy has developed this app so families have all of the information they need in choosing a school that is the right fit for their child. Plus, we can contact them directly if we have questions. It’s a service we really need in this city.”
