IMPD makes arrest in connection to fatal shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have made an arrest in a fatal Nov. shooting.
According to IMPD, 20-year-old Patrick McAfee has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of 38-year-old Juan Vega.
Police initially responded to the area near Punto Alto Drive and Punto Alto Circle on reports of shots fired around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered emergency medical personnel working on Vega. Vegan had been found in the street. However, despite life-saving efforts, Vega was pronounced dead on scene.
McAfee faces a number of preliminary charges including murder, robbery and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
