INDOT unveiling 22 new tow plows

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana’s Department of Transportation is unveiling new vehicles to help clear snowy and icy roads.

INDOT will unveil “tow plows” on Friday. It’s a plow and spreaders that are pulled behind and on the side of a truck. The truck allows one driver to clear two lanes at once.

INDOT said it has 22 new tow plows, and will have more than 1,000 plow trucks available to clear roads of snow and ice this winter.

For more information on how drivers can get prepared for safe winter weather driving, go to winterdrivingsafety.in.gov.

Watch WISH-TV at noon to learn more about the new vehicles.
