Parents attack coach after son doesn’t play in football game

LIBERTY, SC (WSPA) – An employee of Pickens County’s school district in South Carolina was arrested after police said she and her husband assaulted a coach because he didn’t play their son during a game, according to warrants.

Allison Fuller and James Fuller were both charged with third degree assault and battery and public disorderly conduct after the attack at the Old Liberty Stadium on Hillcrest Street, Tuesday evening.

According to warrants, James Fuller put the coach in a headlock and Allison Fuller hit and scratched the victim in the head and face.

According to the incident report from Liberty Police Department, a disabled man tried to break up the fight and was hit in the head by a 15-year-old at the scene.

The school district said Allison Fuller has been placed on administrative leave and has been an employee since 2014.
