NUVO Spirit Week: Broken Beaker Distillery

Great drinks, great cause. Talk about a win-win! Indy’s best mixologists are coming together to add $5 craft cocktails to their list of things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Indy Sprits week is a seven-day celebration of Indy’s craft cocktail scene. Whether you want to spend time with your family – or get away from them – Indy Spirits Week features a lineup of great bars, restaurants, and distilleries on all sides of town where a friendly mixologist will pour you a $5 craft cocktail.

So mark your calendar for NUVO’s Indy Spirits Week Nov. 21-27.

Here’s how it works:

Indy Spirits Week features $5 craft cocktails being offered at over 17 locations around Indianapolis from November 21st-27th. 20% of all restaurant/bar/distillery registration and 20% of all sponsorship revenue is donated to Little Red Door “Established in 1945, Little Red Door Cancer Agency works to reduce the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for medically underserved residents of central Indiana by providing free client services, cancer screening and education.”

For extra cheer of your own, tag your social media posts with #IndySpiritsWeek to be entered for prizes provided by our awesome sponsors and participants. Remember: If you drink a craft cocktail and no one liked it on social media, did you really drink it? Share the evidence of your Indy Spirits Week adventures because these cocktails are Instagram-worthy, for sure.

And readers, feel good about your celebration because Indy Sprits Week gives back to the community. Twenty percent of all restaurant/bar/distillery registrations and 20 percent of all sponsorship revenue is donated to Little Red Door. Their mission, “reducing the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for medically underserved residents of central Indiana by providing free client services, cancer screenings and education,” is one NUVO is proud to support. To see the many services Little Red Door provides, visit www.littlereddoor.com. The collection of handwritten thank-you notes on their homepage shows heartwarming reflections from fellow community members they have helped during a difficult time. Give them a look, but keep your tissues handy.

Don’t worry if you aren’t an expert on the craft cocktail scene – you can be by the end of the week. Now is the time to discover your new favorite local liquor, or enjoy your favorite in a new way. Until you can claim craft cocktail establishment mastery, use the map on IndySpiritsWeek.com to find locations near you and look out for a checklist of participating locations in the November 16 issue of NUVO.
