Heinz recalls gravy days before Thanksgiving
CHICAGO (WCMH) – You might need to make a trip back to the store before passing the gravy this Thanksgiving.
Heinz is recalling cases of its gravy due to mislabeling issues that could lead to a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.
The company says 500 cases of Heinz HomeStyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy were accidentally mislabeled as Heinz Pork Gravy. As a result, the labels don’t state that the product contains milk and soy, which could pose a to people who are allergic to milk or soy.
Consumers who purchased this product should not eat it. They can return it to the store where they purchased it for a full refund.
The 12 oz glass jars of gravy have a “Best by 12/28/2017 MU6F04 4Q” label, and the UPC code is 01300079807.
