INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana State Police have identified the man who died Thursday morning in a single vehicle crash on the city’s west side.

The crash happened on eastbound I-70 near I-465 around 5:17 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Daff Lalhmuakliana of Indianapolis unresponsive inside a 2009 Toyota Camry. Medics pronounced him dead on scene.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

Preliminary investigation found Lalhmuakliana ran off the right side of the roadway, the reasons are unknown, and then struck a large interstate sign. Police said the driver was wearing a seat belt and airbag did release.

The family has been notified and the Marion County Coroner’s Office will investigate.
