Section of I-65 to be named in honor of former Indiana Mr. Basketball

LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) – An Indiana basketball legend will have a stretch of I-65 named in his honor.

At the Lebanon town council meeting Monday evening, signage was unveiled with “Rick Mount Highway.”

Rick Mount Highway will be the three-mile stretch of I-65 between mile marker 138 and mile marker 141.

Mount was a former Mr. Basketball and a three-time All American at Purdue University. Mount also spent five seasons with the Indiana Pacers.
