BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana University football coach Kevin Wilson is out, according to sources at the university.

24-Hour News 8’s sports reporter Chris Widlic confirmed the news on Thursday.

During the news conference, Defensive Coordinator Tom Allen was named the new head coach.

Wilson recently signed a six year contract extension that is worth $15.3 million. Sources say the abrupt firing has to do with “poor treatment of players.”

Wilson has coached the team for six years. The last two seasons were 6-6 bowl seasons, that hasn’t happened in years, Widlic says.
