CEO of Starbucks stepping down

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The CEO of Starbucks is stepping down, and new numbers about how dominant Amazon has been so far this holiday shopping season are in.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is stepping down to focus on the high end shops.

He will continue to play a crucial role at the company, staying on as chairman.

Schultz wants to oversee the company’s recent effort to open roasteries where customers can see the entire coffee process, take classes and taste unique coffees.

In other business headlines, cyber Monday was huge, especially for Amazon.

Slice intelligence said Amazon accounted for nearly 31 percent of all sales over the entire Thanksgiving weekend.

It was followed by Best Buy at 7.4 percent, Target at 4.4 percent, and Walmart at 4.1 percent.
