1 killed in weekend crash in Avon
AVON, Ind. (WISH) – One person was killed in a Sunday evening crash in Avon.
According to the Avon Police Department, officers responded to a two vehicle crash just before 6:30 p.m.on Dec. 4 at the intersection of County Road 100 South and County Road 900 East.
After arriving on scene, officers discovered that a 2012 Nissan Maxima and a 2001 Ford 2005 were involved in the accident. The driver of the Nissan, 28-year-old Brian Bixler, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Bixler was on his way home from work at the time of the accident.
The other driver involved in the accident was not injured. The deadly accident remains under investigation.
