DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – An Anderson woman was sent to the hospital Tuesday morning after a crash on State Road 332.

According to police, the crash happened around 7:10 a.m. about a half mile west of County Road 500 West.

Police said Ashley Patterson, 28, was eastbound on State Road 332 driving over the speed limit, when she lost control trying to switch lanes just west of County Road 500 West. Police said her 2004 Saab rolled several times before coming to a stop.

Patterson was transported by medics with minor injuries.

Police said she was cited for speeding too fast to avoid collision and driving while suspended.

In addition, officials believe Patterson had failed to stop earlier on Tuesday and fled from Madison County deputies, who terminated their pursuit.

The investigation is ongoing.
