Indy Humane Society sending supplies to Tennessee following wildfires

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Humane Society is sending pet food and supplies down to Sevier County, Tennessee to help shelters there recover from recent wildfires.

Indy Humane is scheduled to start loading up a rental truck at 8 a.m. on Tuesday with food, cleaning supplies and pet crates.

The Sevier County Humane Society has opened a temporary shelter at the county fairgrounds for stray animals possibly separated from their owners during the fires.

The supplies from Indy Humane are scheduled to arrive at the fairgrounds around noon on Tuesday.
