CINCINNATI, OH (WCMH) – Kroger is warning customers about a fake coupon offer that is going around the internet.

The fake coupon offers $60 off a grocery order and has an expiration date of December 31, 2016.

In a Facebook post, Kroger said:

Fake coupon alert! There’s currently an unauthorized “FREE $60 Kroger Coupon” offer floating around. It’s not real! We don’t recommend engaging with the site(s) that offer links to the coupon, or providing them with any personal information. Our team is actively working with Facebook and domain service providers to address the concern.

It’s a reminder that if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you are in doubt, check with the company before attempting to use the coupon.
