INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A group in Indianapolis is trying to stop the Department of Veteran’s Affairs from building a facility on the grounds of Crown Hill Cemetery.

“The VA took this action without following basic requirements of the national environmental policy act, to one, examine its decision that will significantly impact the quality of the human environment in Indianapolis,” said Jeff Stant, Executive Director.

The group also claims the VA withheld information from the public.

The VA will choose a tree removal company on Dec. 9th. Removal of the trees could begin before the end of the year.
