Mike Pence expected to attend Indiana bicentennial event finale Sunday
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Residents across the state are invited to a final celebration marking the 200th anniversary of Indiana becoming a state.
Gov. Mike Pence is expected to attend Sunday’s event at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the fairgrounds. According to a news release, the vice president-elect will also take part in a Saturday evening gala.
Sunday’s event is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Parking and admission are free. There’ll be speakers along with music and dancing.
It’s the finale event of the year-long bicentennial celebration.
Indiana became the 19th state on Dec. 11, 1816.
