American Express offering parents 20 weeks of paid leave

(WISH) – If you work at American Express and plan on having a family – your parental leave just got a lot better.

According to CNN, the company will offer mothers and fathers 20 weeks full paid leave, starting January. They will also offer six to eight weeks for woman who give birth and require medical leave. To be eligible you must work with the company for at least a year.

Parents will also have access to a 24-hour lactation consultant. Mothers who go on business will be able to ship their breast milk home for free.

Other benefits include adoption or surrogacy help and infertility treatment help.
