7 guns, ammo, TVs stolen from Johnson County home

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Johnson County authorities are investigating after guns, ammunition, TVs and numerous other items were stolen from a home.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a home in the 1100 block of Hospital Road Monday afternoon.

The homeowner said she left for a few hours and returned to find items out of order, according to the sheriff’s office. Furniture had been moved to allow a 60 inch TV in the living room and a 24 inch TV in a bedroom to be taken, she told deputies.

In addition to the TVs, seven guns were stolen from a bedroom closet. Ammunition, two credit cards, two tablet computers and about a dozen other items were also taken.

There were no signs of forced entry, but a deputy reported he was able to easily unlock a side door using a credit card.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office tip line at (317) 346-4654.
