French Lick Resort announces first-ever Senior LPGA Championship

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A big announcement was made for Indiana in regards to women’s golf Tuesday morning.

French Lick Resort will host the first-ever Senior LPGA Championship.

The announcement was made at 7:40 a.m. on the Golf Channel.

The Championship will be part of the Legends Tour, which is made up of veteran LPGA players who are 45 and older.

The Championship will be next summer July 10, 2017 through July 12, 2017. The winner will get $600,000.

If you don’t know, French Lick is located in the southern part of the state near Hoosier National Forest.
