Gasoline prices may approach $3 per gallon

(WISH) – Drivers may be headed to a return of $3 gas.

Gasoline prices are on the march upward again and are poised to approach $3 per gallon in part of the country in early next year.

Oil prices have jumped well above $50 per barrel after oil producing nations agreed to slash oil output pointing to higher costs for United States motorists.

In the Indianapolis area, AAA says the average gallon of gas is $2.24. A week ago it was $2.14.
