EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) – The Edgar County mother accused of killing her toddler in 2014 has been sentenced to 10 years for involuntary manslaughter.

Selena Hall began the final day of her sentencing hearing Tuesday.

She was arrested November of 2014, accused of killing her two-year old son Landon Weaver. Hall was charged with two felony murder charges, as well as a Class 2 felony of aggravated domestic battery and a Class 4 felony of obstruction of justice/destroying evidence.

Due to the severity of the child’s injuries, he was airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, where he died on Nov. 10, 2014.

In September, Hall accepted a plea deal and a guilty plea was entered on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. Zach Watson, Hall’s boyfriend at the time of the incident, is also charged in connection to Landon’s death.
