American Airlines flight to Indy grounded due to malfunctioning e-cigarette

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (WISH) — An American Airlines flight from Dallas to Indianapolis had to be grounded in Little Rock.

American Airlines Flight 1129 from Dallas/Fort Worth to Indianapolis was diverted to Little Rock due to a passenger attempted to use an electronic cigarette that malfunctioned.

American Airlines said the plane landed safely and no one was hurt. The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified.

The airline is sending a replacement plane to Little Rock in order to get the passengers to Indianapolis.
