Downtown IMAX showing ‘Rogue One’ nonstop for 75 hours

INDIANAPOLIS Ind. (WISH) — Thousands have already seen the brand new “Star Wars” movie that has hit theaters Friday morning. In Indianapolis, you can see a unique version of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” at the IMAX theater downtown.

“Rogue One” is the first of the standalone “Star Wars” films. It’s a prequel set right before the very first movie, “A New Hope,” which came out in the late ’70s.

At the State Museum viewers get a much more detailed experience than anywhere else. Not only is it an IMAX theater, but it also has one of only 15 70 millimeter versions of the film, meaning it’s 10 times the resolution of a normal theater.

The surround sound throughout the theater is designed to immerses you in the film. IMAX is showing the film nonstop for 75 hours. You can still get your tickets online at ImaxIndy.com.

WISH-TV’s Nerd Panel 8 will be live this Friday morning talking about the movie. Watch at 9 a.m. on WISH TV’s CW Facebook page.
