Weekend Holiday Festivities

The holiday season is pretty special one in central Indiana, as there are so many things to do! Katy Mann, from Indy with Kids, says many of them are unlike anything you’ll find during the rest of the year. Katy shares ideas on how to help families build the best day ever… everyday! Her top picks for this weekend:

The free Christkindl Village in downtown Indy. A nativity with real animals, live music, food and beverage for purchase, a canopy of lights, children’s area and alpine slide are just the start of the fun. http://indywithkids.com/events/christkindl-village-free-annual-holiday-event-2016-12-17/

Rowdie Claus is the free annual celebration with Rowdie, the Indianapolis Indians mascot. Crafts, snacks and photo opportunities with Rowdie in a Santa hat.http://indywithkids.com/events/rowdie-clause-free/

Clay Terrace is great for wrapping up that holiday shopping. On Friday, there are complimentary sleigh rides and on Saturday, take the kids to meet Santa’s reindeer.http://indywithkids.com/events/complimentary-sleigh-rides-clay-terrace-2016-12-16/http://indywithkids.com/events/meet-santas-reindeer-clay-terrace-free-2016-12-17/

Two other events Katie shared earlier this season are the Magic and Fun Show at Morty’s for only $6 per person with discount code (IndywithKids), with the Carols for kids music group.

Also, don’t miss the Miracle on Post Road; visits with Santa, a scavenger hunt, crafts and even a cookie decorating station, all for only $5 per child.

All of these events and thousands more can be found on the Indy with Kids free mobile app and on the Indy with Kids calendar online.
